Bringing vital encouragement to the saints of God

Brent Smith's preaching and singing ministry has allowed him to minister in Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri, Montana, and New York. He would love to serve you by bringing hope and encouragement through music and the Word of God!

If you would like to have him come on a free-will love offering basis for a time of encouragement at your church, please send him an email or call him at (417) 429-0325 or (417) 350-0622.  No set amount will be expected, and only minimal travel expenses requested.  Brent is a Pastor, and so is expected to be present for his church's regular services.  Special scheduling arrangements may be considered, though, so please ask.

In addition to his ministry as a minister of encouragement through music, Brent is also available as a preaching evangelist for revival services, rallies, and crusades.  Audio of Brent's preaching may be heard at the website of Grant Avenue Baptist Church.

God's voice is the voice of encouragement, while Satan's voice is the voice of discouragement.  The people of God too often listen to and believe the devil's discouragement, and each of us needs to have the reinforcement of encouragement. Encouragement retreats are widely available, but we face daily battles as the soldiers in the LORD's Army, and simply cannot afford to forsake our responsibilities, spending resources we do not have and leaving the field of battle, to find renewed strength, comfort, and encouragement!

I Samuel 17:17-18 records that a young shepherd boy named David was sent by his father to minister to his brothers on the field of battle. These brothers were discouraged and afraid, having to listen to the taunts of the giant Philistine Goliath. Because retreat was not an option for them, David's mission was to bring his brothers nourishment from their father with the message that he was concerned for their welfare.

This is Brent Smith's mission, as well: to come to the servants of God on the field of battle when retreat is not an option, bringing refreshment and nourishment from the Father, and the message that He cares.

Brent lives with his wife of 18 years and their three children in Springfield, Missouri, where he has served as pastor of Grant Avenue Baptist Church since October 1, 2006.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
